The everyday hustle and bustle of marriage, raising children, running two businesses can get chaotic really quickly. It’s easy to lose a sense of self when we expel so much energy on the people we love and care for.
I’ve spent the last decade of my life chasing after my dreams, discovering new places, and rediscovering my likes and dislikes. There comes a point when we have to hit the brakes, reassess and start off new. It all begins with a decision to discover you.
I started the Discovery Journey about five years ago. In case you are wondering what did that look like. I had to ask myself some really hard questions.

Who said you had to pause your goals and dreams for the sake of someone else’s opinion?
What is your plan and have you written it down?
Have you been a good steward of your money?
There were so many questions that required an answer. It so easy to blame others for our own lack of action. One thing is for sure, time will pass and more gray will grow. We can decide that today is the day to do something different. It’s me versus me and I can do it!
The Discovery Journey is all about something new. I’m learning to try different foods, visit new places, and meet new people. The people I work so hard to care for on a daily basis is loving the new me. Everyone wins in the process and I no longer have to feel so empty.
